Why the Aquinos and the Oligarchs Opposed Marcos’ Burial at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani

Nov. 25, 2016

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

First, how many oligarchs, cronies, politicians and others who benefited from Marcos’ regime even bother to show up at his interment at the LNMB (Libingan Ng Mga Bayani)?

If they are against Marcos why are they not after Danding Cojuangco the one Pablo Martinez named as the mastermind of the murder of Ninoy Aquino, Jr.? Are you going to wait for Danding Cojuangco to die then protest if he is buried in the Philippines?

Roberto Tiglao: “A born-again Christian and pastor, Martinez’s earth-shaking testimony though was made in a February 2006 article in the American Time magazine and in an on-camera interview in 2007 by ABS-CBN’s Julius Babao right after his release in prison:

“I didn’t hear any direct order from him. But I asked them [the conspirators in the hotel] who was giving them the orders, and they replied, ‘Danding.’“

He was referring to oligarch Eduardo Cojuangco who had controlled until the last few years the giant San Miguel Corp.

Martinez was the key to uncovering who its masterminds were. He told Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta (and a Manila Times columnist) and later other media that he was willing to cooperate with government and would tell all.

Pres. Aquino III and his officials snubbed him.

I(R. Tigalao) realized these when I read news reports last week that on Thursday, May 8, (2014) M/Sgt. Pablo Martinez, was killed when his bicycle was sideswiped along Roxas Boulevard early morning by a sports utility vehicle. An eyewitness claimed that the vehicle run over him after he fell from the bike. The police though concluded that it was purely an unfortunate accident.

“MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The country’s largest conglomerate, San Miguel Corp., owned by presidential uncle Danding Cojuangco, “won” the bid for the P15.86 billion-worth NAIA Expressway that
will link the country’s 3 airport terminals and the upcoming casino complexes near Manila Bay.

The bid by Aquino III’s uncle (San Miguel Corp) of P11 billion CASH WAS WAY HIGHER THAN THE P305 MILLION OF MNTC. (ANYONE OVER THERE DARED TO COMPLAIN?)

In what has been touted as a battle of the Philippine giants over a less than 10-km toll road, San Miguel unit Optimal Development Infrastructure Inc. edged out lone rival Manila North Tollways Corp (MNTC), a unit of Metro Pacific Investments Corp.

San Miguel’s P11 billion cash bid was way higher than the P305 million bid of MNTC.”

Former VP Emmanuel Pelaez (b.Nov. 30, 1915 d. July 27, 2003) was riddled with bullets on the night of July 21, 1982 in an apparent assassination attempt. In a Philippine Inquirer interview in 1992, Pelaez linked Marcos and businessman Eduardo Cojuangco to this crime.

His action defending the plight of the coconut farmers against the cronies of Ferdinand Marcos and decision to run against Marcos as the presidential nominee of the Nationalista Party landed him in a hospital on the night of July 21, 1982, riddled with bullet wounds, an obvious assassination attempt. He narrowly escaped death but his driver was killed.

While he was being wheeled to the hospital bleeding the night he was shot by assassins in 1982, he asked a poignant rhetorical and soul-searching question, which has since become a very famous quotation: “General, what is happening to our country?” He was expressing his deep dismay to General Tomas Karingal, then chief of Northern Police District. This quotation has since been used by others as a plea for justice and peace, and against abuse of power and the reign of lawlessness in the country.

In a Philippine Inquirer interview in 1992, Pelaez linked Marcos and businessman Eduardo Cojuangco to this crime. “When you have a President covering up, there was no way for getting to the truth,” he stated when Marcos tried to cover up the crime by blaming the shooting on Muslim separatists. After the incident that nearly cost his life, he distanced himself from Marcos.

Then there is the Plaza Miranda bombing on Aug. 21, 1971 during the Marcos administration. Yet the Aquinos and the opposition refused to investigate these cases. WHY?

CONCLUSION:

The oligarchs who benefited from both the Marcos, Aquino administrations and everyone else’s presidency would like Ninoy Aquino, Jr. Cory Aquino and later Aquino III ALSO TO BE BURIED AT THE LIBINGAN NG MGA BAYANI AS HEROES.

THIS WAY, THE OLIGARCHS WILL GET TO KEEP THEIR MONEY AND KEEP ON AMASSING WEALTH.

AGREE TO THESE TWO CONDITIONS AND THEY WILL ALL STOP PROTESTING MARCOS’ BURIAL.
