Stargate Project: Remote viewing research began in 1972 at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in Menlo Park, California. Proponents ( Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff ) of the research said that a minimum accuracy rate of 65% required by the clients was often exceeded in the later experiments.

From “History’s Mysteries” host Dan Akryod aired July 5, 2010. The beginnings of CIA initiated Remote Viewing program at Stanford Research Institute in 1972. This video is for educational purposes only

Ingo Swann taught Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff remote viewing and in turn Russ Targ and Hal Puthoff taught remote viewing to a group of U.S. Army personnel. One of them is Lyn Buchanan whose book ” The Seventh Sense: The Secrets of Remote Viewing as Told by a ‘Psychic Spy’ for the US Military”, by Lyn Buchanan (2003). His book was the topic of my WAIS post: A Book I Never Finished Reading (Bienvenido Macario, USA) Wed, Aug 14, 2013 at 4:27 AM

In his book Lyn narrates how as a kid he learned how to put a rock through a steel plate without leaving a hole or any mark. He discovered he has telekinetic powers. In one interview Lyn admits that putting a rock through a steel plate without leaving a hole or any mark, however amazing, doesn’t have any practical application like Remote Viewing.

A childhood friend of mine who was born just two houses away from where I was born has a similar amazing ability but does not have any practical application.
