Flags of the Philippines

Catholicism & Christianity came from the West and still is the dominant religion in the Philippines. If you want Christian/Catholic based way of life to succeed in the Philippines, the UK (British Monarchy) through Australia & New Zealand with the cooperation of the U.S. is our best bet in the Philippines. Traditional Sino-Japanese rivalry disqualifies both including Korea. Singapore favors the U.S. but the U.S. is more of a global policeman than a nation-builder. Otherwise, Unitarian Universalist Church, born out of Calvinism is the best American option. It’s Unitarian though, not totally Christian. Of course there is Buddhism and Hinduism.

In the list of flags of the Philippines you will notice that the Union Jack (British Flag) first flew over the Philippines long before Old Glory (U.S.) or the Philippine flags ever did.

Closer ties between the Philippines & the U.K. is more possible today more than ever. The U.S. has always been allergic to the “colonizer” label even though it never was the case. I don’t see the U.S. returning & staying in the Philippines long enough to really make a difference (of simplifying things). Once a Democrat becomes president, foreign policy towards the Philippines will be reversed in favor of dependent-independence that has always favored the oligarchs. History will bear this out. Even the State Dept acknowledges it. U.S. political set-up is not ideal for the Philippines. The status quo is a dead-end.

The British have been tested and proven as present-day Singapore & Hong Kong show. We have to acknowledge the fact that while the economies of the Philippines, like Singapore and Hong Kong are dominated by ethnic Chinese, the Philippines is a basket case.   Besides the King James version of the Bible came from England, right?
