Battle For Leyte Gulf – 71 years Later

26 Oct. 2015 – Today is the 71st anniversary of the last day of the Battle for Leyte Gulf (Oct. 23 to 26, 1944).
The Battle for Leyte Gulf started near Palawan Island. Maybe Japan and the U.S. could stage reenactments every year in South China Sea off Palawan Island.

But both countries must ask permission from the People’s Republic of China that recently stole and build their islands in the Spratlys.

(From 26 Oct. 2014) Unlike the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, in the Philippines no U.S. landings or battle of WWII was ever commemorated to this day. And the quisling –oligarchs instead of being tried for treason, imprisoned / executed if found guilty or kept out of politics ended up in power after WWII. Today it is the grandchildren of oligarch-traitors Pres. Aquino III & Manuel Roxas II who are ruling the former U.S. territory.

Battle for Leyte Gulf

However 71 years after the Battle for Leyte Gulf, here is the financial score card from Forbes Magazine. Let’s start with the Ten Richest “Filipinos” .

Ten Richest 'Filipinos' who are mostly ethnic Chinese and ethnic Spaniards.
From Forbes List of 50 Richest Filipinos, here are the Ten Richest ‘Filipinos’ who are mostly ethnic Chinese and ethnic Spaniards.
While WWII in the Pacific was fought between Japan and the U.S., in the Philippines, ethnic Chinese and ethnic Spaniards won. This is not to say all ethnic Chinese, ethnic Spaniards, their families, friends and Filipinos from the provinces they came from in the Philippines are all evil.
It is up to us to correct this major mistake. As of 26 Aug. 2015 the combined net worth of the 50 richest Filipinos totaled $73 Billion.
Here are the 12 richest Filipinos. http://www.rappler.com/business/214-who-s-who/85686-filipinos-forbes-billionaires-list-2015

You saw how rich the 50 richest “Filipinos” have become in 71 years. Now a glimpse of what it means to be poor in the Philippines. I thank Briton Jane Walker and Fr. Kuluke SVD of Germany for their generosity and philanthropy in a particular sector of Philippine society.

During the defense and liberation of the Philippines in WWII, 51 U.S. officers and men earned the U.S. Medal of Honor, 31 received it posthumously.

But to this day, the quisling Republic of the Philippines does not recognize and appreciate the sacrifices of U.S. & Allied soldiers, sailors, airmen and civilians during the defense and liberation of the Philippines in WWII.

While WWII in the Pacific was fought between Japan and the U.S., in the Philippines, ethnic Chinese and ethnic Spaniards won.

When Briton Jane Walker first saw children rummaging through trash heaps while on a trip to the Philippines in 1996, she decided to do something about it. Employing about 100 people, Walker helps improve the lives of thousands of children and their families who otherwise would be forced to eke out a living, picking through Manila’s garbage dumps. Jennifer Glasse reports.

Here’s another one.

Having to give birth to your children on a rubbish dump is squalor that shocks. The only anchor of hope on a burning Philippine refuse tip is the priest and SVD missionary Fr. Heinz Kulüke from Germany.

KILLED IN ACTION 511th PIR 11th Airborne Division, US ARMY

http://users.owt.com/leodonna/KIA-511th-WWII.htm

Happy Veterans Day 2012 : This is the link of the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 11th Airborne commanded by Maj. Gen. Joseph Swing. They were the ones who liberated Las Piñas on Feb. 3, 1945. Although the 188th Glider Infantry Regiment has already landed in Nasugbu on Jan. 31, 1945, Gen. Swing objected to a drop on Tagaytay Ridge unless his men could be supported by other units nearby.

Perhaps he didn’t want a repeat of the failed “Operation: Market Garden”. And sure enough on the night of Feb. 5, 1945, the Japanese launched a “Banzai attack” in Las Piñas. However the suicide attack fell on the recently released Filipino political prisoners from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa, Rizal. Weak and famished, the political prisoners were making their way back to Manila and decided to spend the night at the public market. No U.S. soldier was killed in the attack.

There was a short but sharp firefight to save the “Palico” bridge at Pulang Lupa in Las Piñas .

For gallantry in action at Palico Bridge, Las Piñas Luzon, Philippine Islands, February 4, 1945,Col. Irvin Rudolph Schimmelpfennig ,the Chief of Staff of the 11th Airborne received the Silver Star.

Their entry was preceded by a very accurate artillery barrage on what is now the Central Elementary School which the Japanese used as a garrison. Not a shell fell outside the garrison’s perimeter.

In the early morning following the artillery barrage, Mrs. Cristobal was roused from her sleep by the incessant barking of dogs squabbling over a “big piece of bone.” It turned out to be a severed leg of a Japanese soldier one of the dogs found. The Japanese Army unit had already left Las Piñas.

At around 3pm elements of the 511th PIR began entering the town of Las Piñas from the south. Here’s a pop quiz: “How did the lead elements of the 511th PIR knew that it was safe to enter the town proper of Las Piñas?

The first encounter with the Japanese sailors defending Nichols was at the southern foot of the Paranaque Bridge. Japanese fired from the northeast side of the bridge in a village called Ibayo, Three GI’s were killed or wounded. Those who were wounded were brought to the rear i.e. back to Las Piñas Church which was then converted into a medical station.

Because Japanese collaborators ended up in power in the Philippines like Manuel A. Roxas, the Philippines is just about the only “Alllied” country that never held any Liberation Day Parade. The Roxases, Aquinos & Tañadas family ties goes back to pre-WWII. In 1946 Roxas appointed Lorenzo Tañada Chief Prosecutor who then conveniently excluded Roxas among the suspected collaborators. As early as July 22, 1946 Tañada was already rumored to be recommending blanket amnesty to all oligarch – traitors.Ironically since Roxas was not included as suspected collaborator he died as an uncharged traitor and president of the Philippines.
There has to be a Great Architect of the Universe who allow us to exercise our free will.

Manuel A. Roxas, Sr. Oligarch-Traitor Exposed

“It is a strange coincidence, President (Manuel A.) Roxas that Chief Prosecutor (Lorenzo) Tañada, who compiled the list of collaborationist suspects to be tried, and who conveniently failed to include you, has become the solicitor general in your administration.

Did you or did you not, President Roxas, support a declaration of war against the United States while wearing the uniform of a brigadier general in the Army of the United States?

Did you or did you not help to write the constitution of the Japanese-controlled puppet government?

Were you, or were you not an adviser of Laurel, the puppet president?

Is it not true that as a prisoner of war, you could not have been compelled to contribute any services to the puppet government?

The Associated Press reports that you are now being urged by Mr. Tañada to proclaim a general amnesty for all collaborationist suspects.  Your inaugural address indicates that you are inclined to do so@.  The American people would not understand such action.”

@ – Proclamation No. 51, s. 1948 Granting amnesty to all collaborators.

http://www.gov.ph/1948/01/28/proclamation-no-51-2/

As US Interior Secretary Harold Ickes warned, on Jan. 28, 1948 quisling-turned president Manuel Roxas, Sr. signed Proclamation No. 51 granting amnesty to traitors, collaborators and those who traded with the enemy. Since Roxas himself was not on the list of collaborators, he was not included in the amnesty.

On April 15, 1948 Manuel Roxas died of a heart attack an uncharged, suspected traitor and president of the Philippines. Only in the Philippines (OIP)

In his meeting with U.S. High Commissioner Paul V. McNutt, Roxas initially agreed to have 23 Navy and 13 Army military installations in addition to Clark and Subic Naval base. BUT WHEN THE U.S. DEMANDED JURISDICTION OVER US MILITARY PERSONNEL AND CIVILIANS ON OR OFF DUTY; ON OR OFF BASE, ROXAS PROBABLY REMEMBERED HE WAS A BRIG. GENERAL IN THE U.S. ARMY WHEN HE COLLABORATED WITH THE JAPANESE (see photo above). ROXAS PROBABLY REALIZED THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS FILIPINO CITIZEN BEFORE JULY 4, 1946 WHICH MEANS HE WOULD GO BACK TO PRISON, LIKELY TO BE CHARGED WITH HIGH TREASON BEFORE A COURT MARTIAL.

Remember after WWII everyone, no exception, everyone in the Philippines were poor. So how did the 50 richest “Filipinos” as listed on Forbes Magazine start amassing so much wealth? Even in 1965 Lucio Tan, Henry Sy and other ethnic Chinese were not as rich as the ethnic Spaniards like Ayala, Zobel, Soriano, Araneta, Elizalde. Only one ethnic Chinese was rich then the Lopezes of Meralco, ABS-CBN. And they did not invent the camera or the TV or developed electricity. This is because Ayala, Zobel, Soriano, Araneta are relatives of Manuel A. Roxas.
