IRS Approval Letter Dated Oct. 06, 2016 received 10-11-16
Oct. 11, 2016 – Today I received from the IRS the determination letter saying that the MARIA ELENA G. MACARIO FOUNDATION is EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c ) (3). It further stated, among others, that:
– “DONORS CAN DEDUCT CONTRIBUTIONS THEY MAKE TO YOU UNDER IRC SECTION 170.”
– “YOU’RE ALSO QUALIFIED TO RECEIVE TAX DEDUCTIBLE BEQUESTS, DEVISES, TRANSFERS OR GIFTS UNDER Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.”
– “WE DETERMINED YOU’RE A PRIVATE FOUNDATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 509(a).”
The effective date of Exemption: JULY 18, 2016
